Zeph Hill Dies This Morning
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 16th, at 1 p.m. at the Malad Second LDS ward for Zephaniah Hill, 59, who died early Thursday morning of a heart ailment.
Bishop Myron P. Sorenson will officiate.
Mr. Hill was born Sept. 17, 1900 at St. John, a son of William and Phoebe Jones Hill. He was reared and educated there. He was a farmer and had worked for the railroad for several years. He married Della Gleed on Feb. 15, 1922, at Malad.
Survivors include the widow, Malad; two sons and five daughters, Gene Hill, Ogden; Warren Hill, Pocatello; Mrs. Melvin (Doris) Christensen, Downey; Mrs. George (Deaon) Burbank, Pocatello; Mrs. Cecil (Della Mae) Fry, Ogden; Mrs. Elton (Marcedis) Ashton, Malad; Mrs. Gerald (Shirleen) Harris, Ogden; 17 grandchildren; four brothers and a sister. Warren Hill, Floyd Hill, Earl Hill, Ray Hill, all of Malad; Mrs. Merle (Phoebe) Duncan, Pocatello.
Friends may call at the family home Sunday evening and Monday until time of services. Interment will be at the St. John cemetery direction by the Benson Funeral Home.

Funeral Monday For Zephaniah Hill
Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Malad Second LDS ward for Zephaniah Hill, 59, who died Feb. 12th of a heart ailment.
Bishop Myron Sorensen conducted the services.
Prayer at the home was offered by LaMar Thomas. At the chapel, prayers were offered by Bishop Hubert Gleed and Bishop Sorensen, who also read the obituary. Speakers were Griff L. Jenkins and Pres. S.L. Smith. Mary Rose Jones read an original poem. Musical numbers were solo, Louis Yearsley with violin obligato, Mrs. Fern Willie; duet, Margaret Boam and Phoebe Evans. Accompanists were Betty Crowther, who also played the prelude and postlude, and Lynda Willie.
J. Guy Benson dedicated the grave at the St. John cemetery.
Flowers were arranged by the Second Ward Relief Society.
Casket bearers were Mathew Hill, John Hill, Bill Hill, J.R. Hawkins, Henry Gleed and Walter Jones.
Those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Gail Boam, Mrs. Phyliss Evans, Mrs. Lila Barnes, Downey; Mr. and Mrs. Jeaneane Rainson, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Tubbs and family, Blackfoot.
