WOODROW W. PETERSON

Woodrow W. Peterson, 92, life-time St. John resident, passed away on May 26, 2005, in Malad.

He was born October 20, 1912, in St. John, as son of John H. and Hannah Jones Peterson. He was raised and educated in St. John and later attended Idaho State University and Utah State University on an Agriculture Scholarship.

Woodrow married Mary Edwards June 12 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He farmed and ranched all of his life on the family farm that his father had homesteaded. His great enjoyment in life was working on his farm, raising cattle, sheep and milk cows. Mary passed away July 7, 1987. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his children, Lugene (John C.) Hill and Mark (Aloa) Peterson, of Malad; five grandchildren: Cathy (Gordon) King, of Arizona; Loa Dawn (Brooks) Thorpe, Heidi (Troy Hubbard, Heath (Dava) Peterson, Jason (Heather) Peterson, of Malad; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 1 in the Horsley Funeral Home. Burial was in the St. John Cemetery.
