MEMORIAL SERVICE HELD FOR WILLIAM THOMAS

William Thomas, 52, died January 4, 1983 of cancer in Missoula, MT. He was born in St. Anthony to O.G. and Mildred Thomas on May 2, 1930. He was educated in southern Idaho, joined the Army Air Corps in 1946 and was discharged in 1949.

He married Sherlene East on June 2, 1950 in McCammon. They lived in Pocatello and he was employed as a mill worker. They moved to Billings, MT in 1963, where he began driving for Garrett Freightlines. Then in 1970 they moved to Missoula, MT. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his wife, Superiot, MT; a son, William Thomas, Jr., Pocatello; two daughters, Margie Ann Cole and Amy Jo Kline, both of Pocatello; his parents, Wickenburg, AZ; four brothers, Glen Thomas, Kendrick, N.S. Thomas and R.E. Thomas, both of McCammon; and Thomas L. Thomas, Oceanside, CA; and a grandchild.

The body has been cremated and a graveside memorial service was held January 11 at the McCammon Cemetery.
