Funeral Rites For Mrs. Warren Jones

An exceptionally large crowd attended the impressive funeral services held for Mrs. Warren M. Jones at the Second ward tabernacle Sunday at 2 o’clock. The speakers were the Rev. Charles Horejs and J. D. Price.

The musical numbers were rendered by Keith Evans accompanied by Mrs. Evans and the Tovey brothers Ed. Woozley and Yearsley. E. E. Richards offered the benediction. A profusion of beautiful flowers were carried by the members of the American Legion auxiliary and friends. The members of the American Legion marched in a body. Rev. Horejs dedicated the grave.

Mrs. Jones died Friday morning at the Oneida hospital of complications following childbirth. Mrs. Jones underwent a Ceaserean operation Thursday morning, her infant son living only a few hours.

Mrs. Jones was born in Malad City, June 9, 1900, the daughter of David W. and Maria Williams Jones. She was educated in the Malad City schools and was married to Warren M. Jones on July 23, 1918. To this union were born six children, four of whom survive, in addition to her husband.

The children: Farrell Jones of Collinsville, Ill; Mrs. Audene Yearsley and Miss Margy Jones of Malad; and Mrs. Delene Bowcutt of Riverside, Utah. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Jenkins W. Jones of Washington, D. C., David W. Jones of Los Angeles, Brigham, Laverne Leland and Miss Marie Jones of Malad and Ray W. Jones of San Mateo, Calif. Her mother, Mrs. D. W. Jones of Malad also survives.
