PERRY L. JONES

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Third Ward LDS Chapel for Perry L. Jones, 63, who died at his home Saturday after a short illness. Bishop Hubert Gleed was in charge of the services.

Family prayer was offered by Royal B. Jensen. At the chapel, the prelude and postlude music was played by Ruth C. Davis. The speakers were Bishop Gleed, who read the obituary, Dr. Thos. W. Richards and Carl Jones. Prayers were offered by D. LeRoy Thomas and William O. Howard. Musical numbers included vocal solos by Jenkin Jones and Eldon Corbridge, vocal duet, June Crowther and Norma Gleed. Mrs. Davis was accompanist.

Burial was at the Malad Cemetery with Raiford Benson offering the dedicatory prayer. Arrangement of the flowers was under the direction of the Third Ward Relief Society.

Casket bearers were Sheldon Jones, Jack O. Jones, Brent Howard, Frayne B. Jones, Jesse Park Ward and Vernon Jones.

Services were under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones was born April 18, 1899 at Malad, a son of William E. and Lucretia Lusk Jones. He married Mary Jones on Nov. 23, 1927, and the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on Oct. 25, 1957.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He served as watermaster for a number of years for the Deep Creek Irrigation Company.

Survivors include his widow, a son, Perry W. Jones and four sisters, Mrs. W. H. Clark, Mrs. Jess L. Ward and Bertha Jones (article was cut off at this point).
