WALE THOMAS

Wale Thomas, 83, retired farmer and stock grower of Malad valley, died at the family residence April 1, 1941 of ailments incident to old age.

Mr. Thomas was born at Brigham City, UT in 1858, the son of Thomas W. and Ruth Morgan Thomas. He came to Malad with his parents in 1865 and has resided here since that time.

He married Mary Blanche Thomas on March 15, 1883. He is survived by his widow and the following daughters and sons: Mrs. Ethel Williams, Los Angeles; Espy Thomas, Malad; Mrs. Ella Hanson, Salt Lake; Miss Ruth Thomas, Los Angeles; Mrs. Mabel Welsh, Salt Lake City; Guy Thomas, Malad; Mrs. Faye Palmer, Ogden; Mrs. Lulu Johnson, Salt Lake City; Claude Thomas, Pocatello; Mrs. Isabel Jones, Vernal, UT; Mrs. Lorraine Gholdson, Pocatello. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Well arranged funeral services for Wale Thomas were held Wednesday at the stake tabernacle. Lawrence Budge presided; invocation was offered by H. J. Hanson, the benedicgion by E.E. Richards; the grave was dedicated by Bishop Rudolph Ruegsegger.

The prelude and postlude were played by Mrs. Emma S. Ward. The speakers were: R.N. Hill, T.W. Richards, D.P. Woodland of Logan, Lawrence Budge.

Musical numbers were rendered by the St. John quartet accompanied by Professor Powell, Keith Evans, accompanied by his wife, Bladwin Price, Guy Gleed and L. G. Corbridge, accompanied by Emma S. Ward.

Pall bearers were Russell Daniels, Jack Owens, Ves Owens, Owen Jones, Henry Thomas of Ogden, Richard Thomas of Arthur, UT.
