PRESTON – Victor C. (Vic) Halford, 68, died Wednesday morning, January 12, 1994, in the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston from a long illness.

He was born September 3, 1925, in Portage, Utah, the son of Royal and Erma Conley Halford. He married Ramona Goodey Sept. 27, 1946 in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They later divorced.

Vic was a retired postal worker. He owned and operated the Franklin, Idaho Café for five years, and worked at the Elks Lodge. Vic enjoyed bowling, golf, where he won the Preston Club championship, and flowers. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren trout fishing.

Vic served in World War II in the European Theater, and was a high priest in the Preston LDS Eighth Ward at the time of his death.

Among the survivors are Ramona Halford, Preston; sons and spouses, Randy and Shirlene Halford, Pocatello, Idaho, DeLynn and Mary Lou Halford, Afton, Wyoming; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; a sister, Fern Hall, Portage, Utah and a brother, Woodrow Halford, Manti, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 1994, at noon in the Eighth Ward Chapel, with Bishop Reid A. Carlson conducting. Friends may call at Webb Funeral Home Friday evening, Jan. 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and at the chapel on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
