POCATELLO, IDAHO – Royal Tipton Hale, 89, Pocatello, died Aug 27, 1966, in a Pocatello hospital of natural causes.
Born Feb. 5, 1877, Page County, Iowa, a son of Elliah Dotson and Matlida Haggerty Hale. Married Lizzie May Halford Dec. 8, 1897, in the Salt Lake Temple. Long time McCammon, Idaho, resident where he was a city commissioner, bishop, member of high council and stake presidency, and of the Portneuf River Board; president, McCammon Ditch Co.; county commissioner, state legislator. Fulfilled Central States mission. Farmer, stockman until retirement in 1942.
Survivors: widow, Pocatello; son, W.D., Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Mrs. G.L. (Evelyn) Thornock, Pocatello; Mrs. O.A. (Beatrice) Nielsen, Boise; Mrs. Orvil (Pearl) Goodsell, Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Howard (Emma) Henson, Idaho Falls; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Wednesday 1 p.m., place to be announced. Friends call Manning Funeral Chapel until funeral. Burial McCammon City Cemetery.
