Vernal Webb Nalder, 69, of Holbrook, died Wednesday, June 30, 1982, in Pocatello, Idaho.
He was born August 25, 1912, in Kaysville, Utah, a son of Archie and Clara Webb Nalder.
He was reared and educated in Holbrook.
He married Evelyn Cutler on July 101, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was active in the LDS church and was a high priest. He had served as a counselor in the bishopric, as ward clerk and in other ward positions. He served an LDS Mission in the Western States from 1937 to 1939.
He was active in civic affairs. He served on the Oneida County School Board for over 20 years. He was a member of the Curlew Valley Cattlemen’s Association.
Surviving are his widow of Holbrook; three sons, Larry Nalder, Holbrook, Lynn Nalder, Pocatello, Dallan Nalder, Holbrook; two daughters, Mrs. Don Lee (Darla) Hess, Malad, Idaho; Mrs. Sherman (Deann) Barker, Pocatello; 21 grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Myrle Nalder, Holbrook; two sisters, Mrs. Blaine (Ardeena) Sasser, Pingree, Idaho; Beth Peck, Willard.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 12 noon in the Holbrook Ward Chapel with Bishop Bert Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Holbrook Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Saturday July 3, at the Holbrook L.D.S. Ward Chapel for Vernal Webb Nalder, with Bishop Bert Smith officiating.
At the Funeral Home the family prayer was offered by Newel B. Cutler.
At the chapel, Blaine Saser offered the invocation and the life sketch was given by Sharida Hess.
Speakers were Bishop Waldo Blaisdell and Bishop Odell Cutler, with remarks by Bishop Bert Smith.
Vocal selections were offered by Wells and Marsha Willie, and Don and Carol Eliason. They were accompanied by Iris Blaisdell. A piano selection was given by Sherilyn Nalder; Iris Hill played the prelude and postlude.
Frank Hill offered the Benediction.
Concluding rites were at the Holbrook Cemetery, where Bishop Leo B. Cutler offered the Dedicatory Prayer.
Flowers were cared for by the Holbrook Ward Relief Society and carried by the Granddaughters.
Casket Bearers were Myrle Nalder, Lynn Nalder, Sherman Barker, Larry Nalder, Don Lee Hess and Dallan Nalder.
Honorary Bearers were Shawn R. Hess, Layne Nalder, Laren Nalder, Shad Nalder, Byrson Nalder, Weston Nalder, Dustan Nalder, Lance Baker, and Jeremy Nalder.
