OGDEN – Vera Jane Fowers Wadsworth, 92, died Thursday September 15, 1994 surrounded by family at the Crestwood Care Center of causes incident to age.

She was born May 11, 1902 in West Weber, Utah a daughter of John Robert and Elizabeth Janie Douglas Fowers.

She married Earl J. Wadsworth on February 11, 1920 in Ogden, Utah. He died on February 5, 1990.

She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a primary teacher and Relief Society visiting teacher.

She loved to quilt, crochet, and was an excellent tatter, making gifts for many people. Her life was dedicated to serving her family and friends. She cared for her husband’s mother for many years.

Surviving are one son and two daughters, Norman E. and Verda Wadsworth, Liberty; Jean and Dale Goodwin, South Ogden; and Joan and Darwin Shaw, Sunset; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister, Erma VanMeeteren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one granddaughter, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Crestwood Care Center for their kindness and loving care.

Services will be held at the graveside Monday, September 19, 1994 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hooper Cemetery. Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary in Ogden, Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
