SHIRLEY THOMAS WAGNER

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Shirley Thomas Wagner, age 65, passed away December 29, 2000 in Murray, Utah, surrounded by family that loved her.

Born June 3, 1935 in Malad, ID daughter of William W. and LaRue Rose Thomas. Married Edgar LeRoy Wagner Jr. July 15, 1960 in Bountiful UT; solemnized Feb 18, 1965 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from Malad High School and Ricks College of Nursing in 1957 and practiced nursing until her passing.

She was an active member of the LDS church and diligently served in many positions throughout her life. She was a compassionate and loving person, always in the service of others. Always thought of others before herself turning life experiences into teaching moments.

Survived by husband, LeRoy; children; Karen (Dan) Christensen, Kaysville; Steven, (Sanya), West Jordan; Gary (Janiel) Wagner, Sandy; Paul Wagner, Rose Park; Kelly Wagner, San Francisco; Brian Wagner, Salt Lake City;; ten grandchildren; brothers, Wayne W. and David K. Thomas; sister, Gaye Ann Branson. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, DeVon; sister, Wanda LaRue; grandson Justin.

Services will be held Wed. 12 noon at the Taylorsville 10th Ward chapel, 4960 S. 1950 W. Friends may call Tues – 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd and Wed. at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment Valley View Memorial Park
