WAGSTAFF, THOMAS J., August 4, 1967 – August 14, 2008

Thomas J. Wagstaff, 41 years old, died August 14, 2008 in Miami, Florida of natural causes. He is the son of Irene Benson Wagstaff, deceased, formerly of Malad and Jerry S. Wagstaff of Yorba Linda, California.

Tom was born August4, 1967 in Pico Rivera, California. He graduated from Weiser high School in Weiser, Idaho in 1986. He served a two year LDS mission in Pennsylvania from 1987-89. He graduated from the University of Phoenix, Anaheim Campus in 1995 with a BA degree in Business Administration.

Thomas was a computer whiz, and first worked for a firm that used computers to identify fingerprints for law agencies. He also formed his own company, Cued In, creating websites for large companies. In 1998 he began working for New Century Mortgage Co., as a director of marketing and computer web design while living in Long Beach, California. He won a prestigious national award for best website design in 2000 and received this at a large convention in Las Vegas at the Venetian. He soon moved up to the post of account executive in September of 2001 and transferred to Miami Lakes, Florida at corporate headquarters.

He is survived by his father, Jerry Wagstaff and grandmother Verda Wagstaff, both of Orange, California; two sisters, Chelsey and Shalan Wagstaff as well as aunts and uncles and many cousins in California. He is also survived by his Aunt Dorothy B. and Uncle Terral Jensen of Weiser, Idaho; Aunt Nancy Rae Benson and Aunt Judy Benson Hobson, both of Ogden; Great Aunt Janice (Jack) Servoss of Brigham City; Great Uncle Ross (June) Benson of North Ogden; and cousins and their families.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Raiford and Dana Benson and grandfather Herbert Spencer Wagstaff.

Funeral services took place August 23, 2008 in Malad at the Horsley Funeral Home and burial was at the Malad City Cemetery.
