Twila Thomas Silvester, (1924)

SILVESTER, TWILA THOMAS, January 4, 1924 – May 16, 2006

OGDEN – Twila Thomas Silvester, 82, of Ogden, passed away May 16, 2006 after a valiant battle with congestive heart failure.

Twila was born in Samaria, Idaho, January 4, 1924, the sixth child of nine children born to Henry John and Mary Ann Jenkins Thomas. She married Daniel M. Silvester April 12, 1947 in Elko, NV.

Twila and Daniel always enjoyed traveling with their children to visit family in Idaho. In recent years she especially enjoyed traveling to see her grandchildren play soccer.

Twila has been a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to write in her journal and keep family records. She loved to knit, she was famous for her knit dishcloths. She was an avid Jazz fan and loved to watch Jazz basketball games. She was famous for her apple pies.

Sh is survived by her husband Daniel; children, Suzanne (Robert) Durrant, Ogden; Judy (B0b) Cook, Ogden; Daniel Thomas (Marjean) Silvester, St. George; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a sister Leah (Kleal) Jones, Blackfoot, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, Ogden, at 12 noon. Friends and family may call at Myers Mortuary Saturday prior to the services from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
