THEODORE RAYMOND REED

Theodore R. Reed, 67, a Palisade resident, died in an Idaho Falls hospital Friday, January 6 [1977] of natural causes.

He was born April 24, 1910, at Daniels, north of Malad City, to John Thomas and Mary Jane Josephson Reed. He was raised at Daniels. During World War II he lived at Glendale, Calif., and later in Malad. He moved to Palisade 22 years ago.

He married Blanche Rice in October of 1936 at Malad. He was employed as a forestry technician with the U.S. Forest Service. He previously worked for Lockheed and Menafo Aircraft. He was also a range rider for the St. John Cattlemen’s Association and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was an elder in the LDS Church, secretary of the Elders Quorum, and a home teacher.

He is survived by his wife of Palisade; two daughters and one son, Mrs. Steve (Anna) Lee Lloyd, Blackfoot, Mrs. Ronald (Marilyn Kay) Stoltenberg[sic], Afton, Wyo., and Teddy Ray Reed, Pullman, Wash.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother and one sister, Sylvester Reed, Malad, and Carol Reed Florke[sic], Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Palisade LDS Ward Chapel. Following services, the body was taken to Benson Funeral Home at Malad where the family received friends Tuesday evening. Burial was Wednesday morning at the St. John Cemetery.
