Thomas “Boyd” Richards, 60, of Selah, died Friday, September 7, 1990 in his home.

Boyd was born May 16, 1930 in Malad City, Idaho to Thomas Earl and Theo (Peabody) Richards. He was raised and educated in Bremerton and later served with the U.S. Air Force. Boyd worked as an installer for Western Electric for 28 years. Following his retirement, he raised Appalloosa Horses.

Survivors include his wife, Violet Richards of Selah; four sons, Tom Richards of Selah, Boyd Richards Jr. and Henry Richards, both of California and Frank of San Francisco; three daughters, Leanne Manning of Gleed, Robyne of Kodiak, Alaska and Roxanna of New York and nine grandchildren.

Boyd was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Richards and his parents.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services was Tuesday, September 11, 1990 at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home at Malad City Idaho. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
