REES, THEONE Y., July 24, 1926 – April 15, 2008

Theone Yearsley Rees, age 81, passed away April 15, 2008 of congestive heart failure.

Theone was born July 24, 1926 in Malad, ID, a daughter of N. Melvin and Josephine Jones Yearsley. She married her eternal companion, Philip E. Rees July 18, 1945 in the Logan LDS Temple and together had five children: Sonja, Dean, Tim, Tom and Mark.

She worked for Fassio Egg Farm and several years for Granite School District in food services. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in positions in the stake and ward Sunday School, Primary and Relief Society organizations, with one of her favorite callings being in the music department. She enjoyed spending time with her family, family dinners, playing games, bowling leagues and crocheting and knitting special items for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Phil, West Valley City; children: Sonja (Lenny) Rees, Layton; Tim (Bonnie) Rees, East Aurora, NY; Mark, West Valley City; daughter-in-law, Grayce Rees, Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Joyce Yearsley, Orem; sisters: Rula (Don) Gowers, Nephi; Karen Kent, Anchorage, Alaska.

She is preceded in death by sons Dean and Tom; granddaughters Rebecca Weaver and Julie Rees; sisters Norma, Elmo, Twila, Ina; brother, Dale.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Hunter 18th Ward. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
