GOMER V. REES

Gomer V. Rees, 88, died Monday in Utah

A former Malad resident, Gomer V. Rees, 88, died at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. John T. Bushman, in Layton, Monday [December 6, 1971]. Mr. Rees had been making his home with the Bushman family for some time.

Funeral will be conducted Friday at 12 noon at Larkin and Sons Mortuary, Ogden, and burial will be in Ogden.

Mr. Rees was born Nov. 8, 1883, at Cherry Creek, Idaho, a son of Moroni and Emily Vaughan Rees.

He was married to Eliza M. Williams on Nov. 24, 1904, in Samaria. She died in 1969.

He had been a member of the Ogden 4th and 57th LDS Wards and was a member of the Ogden Stake High Priest Quorum.

He had been a farmer.

Surviving are one son and one daughter, Ray E. Rees, North Ogden; Mrs. Howell (Mae) Mifflin, Roy; 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Thomas R. Rees, Washington, D. C.
