JONES, THEDA M., November 28, 1916 – February 25, 2006

Theda M. Jones, 89, Independence, Missouri, formerly of Lamoni, Iowa, passed away February 25, 2006. Graveside services were held Thursday, March 2 at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence.

Theda was born November 18, 1916 in Malad, Idaho. She graduated from Graceland College.

She and her husband, Max W. Jones owned a drug store in Lamoni, Iowa, before moving to Jacksonville, Florida where they resided for many year.

After moving to Independence, she became a member of the Stone Church Congregation of Community of Christ and was very involved with the church throughout her life. She enjoyed reading the Prayer of Peace and gave tours of the Temple for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971.

Theda is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Jones Cackler, Ames, Iowa; brother, Jerry Jones, Malad; nephew Todd Jones and grandchildren, Elissa and Jon.
