HENRY JONES

Henry Jones, 53, Bishop of the St. John ward, died this morning, Thursday (Nov. 16, 1939), of a heart attack. Mr. Jones had gone to the corral to feed some stock and was found there about 8:30 by his wife. He was thought to be in good health, having complained only slightly of pain a few days previous.

Mr. Jones a prominent farmer of the St. John district, was born on December 23, 1886, the son of Henry and Catherine Jones, early Malad valley settlers. He was married on April 10, 1912, to Catherine Evans of Malad, and they made their home in St. John.

In 1935, Henry jones was made bishop of the St. John ward and has held that position since.

Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Betty Jean Jones and the following brothers and sisters: David H. Jones, Mrs. May Harris, Mrs. Margaret Noble and Mrs. Rosalie Slatters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Malad stake tabernacle.
