MALAD – Tammy Thorpe Price, 36, of Malad, died Thursday, May 5, 1994, in Malad of cancer.
She was born October 4, 1957, in Downey, Idaho, a daughter of Blair and Sharon Bloxham Thorpe. She grew up and was educated in Malad, and was a graduate of Malad High School, class of 1975. After attending Utah State University, she received a B.A. degree in elementary education.
She married Mark Price December 28, 1979, in Logan, Utah. Since their marriage they had lived in Malad, where she had taught kindergarten at the Malad Elementary School since 1980.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had served as a Primary teacher, in the Primary presidency, and in the Relief Society presidency. She was active in the community, where she had been a Malad Junior Miss committee member, and as a soccer team and softball team coach.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Price, of Malad; two daughters, Bree Lyn and Lindsey Jo, both of Malad; one brother and his wife, Dr. Ed and Paula Thorpe of Malad; four sisters, Mrs. Brent (Doty) Evanson, Malad, Mrs. Robert (Teri) Harris, Logan, Utah, Mrs. Shaun (Roxanne) Albretsen, Malad, and Gia Thorpe of Provo, Utah; her parents, Blair and Sharon Thorpe of Malad; in-laws, Max and Dorothy Price King of Malad, and grandparents, Thomas and Dorothy Bloxham of Malad.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, at noon in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel, 400 N. 200 W., with Bishop Jared Crowther officiating. Friends may call tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, and on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
