WILLIAM M. PRICE

William M. Price, 89, died Tuesday at Nampa

William M. Price, age 89, died Tuesday [May 14, 1974] at a Nampa hospital. Mr. Price had spent the winter there with his daughter. Mrs. Wilbur Sanderson.

Mr. Price was born Sept. 25, 1884, at Samaria, a son of John E. and Emma Morse Price. He lived all his life in Malad Valley except for a period during World War II when he lived in Ogden while working at Second Street Depot. He returned to Malad and worked as a watermaster until his retirement in 1963.

Mr. Price was an active member of the LDS Church and served as president of the Sunday school and MIA.

Mr. Price married Annie Hamblin Jan. 7, 1908. The marriage was solemnized June 21, 1916, in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Price died in October, 1963.

Surviving are eight children, Mrs. John (Vera) Roderick, Malad; Mrs. Wilbur (Ida) Sanderson, Nampa; William H., Ogden; Mrs. Nello Deschamps[sic], Reseda, California; Mrs. James (Emma) Richards, Pocatello; Earl H., Puyallup, Washington; Mrs. George (Betty) Thomas, Clearfield, Utah; Mrs. Lester C. (Annie) Jones, Dillon, Mont.; 27 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Edith Evans, Samaria; Mrs. Margaret Hatch, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Esther Shumway, Blanding, Utah, and Daniel Price, Provo, Utah.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Benson Funeral Home. Services are tentatively set for Saturday afternoon.
