Stephen Joseph White, 76, of Yuma, died January 12, 1996 at LaMesa Care Center. He was born April 3, 1919 in Malad, Idaho.

As a resident of Yuma for 28 years, he moved from Idaho in 1968. He became best in Yuma as proprietor of the Pecan Grove Laundromat, until his retirement in 1982.

He was a veteran and member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

Survivors include his wife Marie White, they were married Nov. 25, 1946; sons, Stephen Jeffery White of Nevada; George A. “Skip” White of Hawaii; daughter, Deborah Corethers of Glendale; sisters Ivy Conae of Yuma; Martha Cook of Idaho and Margaret Steimley of Utah. He has nine grandchildren.
