Stella Price Evans

Stella Price Evans, 15 January 1912

Stella Price Evans, 91, of Blackfoot, died February 7, 2003 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 15, 1912 in Malad, ID to Benjamin Franklin Price and Elizabeth Ellen Reese Price. She has lived in Worland, Wyoming, Malad, Pocatello, Wapello and Rockford, ID. At the time of her death she was living with her son, Frank Evans.

On February 2, 1931, she married Thomas Lyman Evans in Pocatello, ID. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, UT LDS Temple on October 2, 1952. He preceded her in death in February, 1993. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she has served in the Primary, Sunday School and the Young Women’s program. She and her husband served an LDS mission to Kauai, Hawaii in 1978 and 1979. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Stella devoted her time and talents to her husband, family and home. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Franklin Lyman (Shirley) Evans of Thomas; Thomas LuDell (Ruth) Evans of Blackfoot, Dan K. (Kathryn) Evans of Rockford; one daughter, Mildred CloDell (William H.) Rowe of Mesa, AZ; 18 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter, Emma Jean; one brother, Dan; and two sisters, Mae Apgood and Dora Thorn Young, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held February 11, 2003 in the Thomas LDS Chapel. Interment was in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
