Mrs. Sarah Palmer Evans died October 1, 1965 in the Oneida Hospital. She was born July 27, 1879, at Malad to Joseph and Marie Gardner Palmer. She married Hugh J. Evans, May 21, 1902 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Evans died February 17, 1964.

She was active in the LDS Church, the Civic Betterment Club and was a member of the Native Daughters of Idaho Pioneers.

Survivors include a son, Myrthus W. Evans, Riverside, CA; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Maria) Williams, Malad; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, John G. Palmer, Sacramento, CA; and Joseph Palmer, Malad; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Illum and Mrs. Margaret Jones, Malad, and Mrs. Marie Hunsaker, Wendell.
