SERVICES HELD FOR SETH THOMAS, SR.

Funeral services for Seth Thomas, Sr., 81, who died Sunday at Sacramento, CA were held Wednesday at the Benson Funeral Home with Counselor Lyde Facer of the Malad 4th Ward officiating.

Prelude and postlude music was played by Trudy Ward, prayers were offered by Bishop Thomas D. Evans and Loren L. Peck, Jr. The speaker was Ralph Harding and Foster Ipsen sang a solo.

Flowers were carried by the 4th Ward Relief Society under the direction of President Roma Facer. Concluding rites were at the malad City Cemetery with Raiford G. Benson offering the dedicatory prayer.

Casket bearers were J.D. (Cy) Price, Dan Thomas, Morgan Tovey, D. LeRoy Thomas, Caleb Nibert and jack Ezell.

Mr. Thomas was born August 26, 1886 at malad, a son of Thomas M. and Rachel Rees Thomas. He married Julia Peck, June 16, 1909 and they were divorced.

He was a member of the LDS Church, a former member of the malad Lions Club and the Eagles Lodge. He moved to California in 1964.

Survivors include one son, Seth, Jr., Sacramento, and four daughters, Mrs. Carol Waters, Malad; Mrs. Jack (Glen Rae) Stewart, Mrs. Ray (Jerry) Sullivan, Hollywood, CA; Mrs. W.B. (Phyllis) Treadwell, Merced, CA; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. M. R. (Pearl) Parry, South Gate, CA.
