Seth Norman Naugler passed to a better world on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Norman is a very caring distinctive colorful character who left a legacy of many lives touched through his years of ministry.

A viewing will be held and his family will greet friends today (Sunday), July 21st from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Alden Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Ave., Boise.
Norman was born in Fortuna, CA, December 15, 1924, in the back seat of a taxi, the son of Seth N. Naugler and Pearl E. (Stephens) Naugler. Norman attended Mission High School, San Franciso, CA., and graduated from Napa Union High School, Napa, CA. He Graduated from Cal Berkley with a BA in Psychology, and then graduated from San Anselmo (now San Franciso) Presbyterian Theological Seminary with a masters in theology.
Norman married Norma Jean Welman January 19, 1952, at the Fresno, CA Methodist Church.
Norman was the assistant pastor of the Fresno Presbyterian Church. Norman and Norma lived in Fresno for a number of years. While there daughter Susan and son Robert were born. Norman and Norma moved to Glendale, OR in 1959 to serve the Presbyterian Church there. While in Glendale, daughters Jan, Ellen, and Robin were born. In 1964, they moved to Dexter, NM and Norman served as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. In 1966 the family moved to Emmett, ID, where Norman was the pastor at the Emmett Presbyterian Church. Son Timothy was born while in Emmett. In 1972 the family moved to Malad, ID where Norman was the pastor of the Malad Presbyterian Church.
While attending UC Berkley he was a life guard and was in the marching and symphonic bands (drums & tympani). Norm sang in the Malad Community Choir. He was an active Boy Scout leader and scoutmaster. He was an avid amateur radio operator and facilitated amateur radio testing. He was a hunter, fisherman, archer, sailor and scuba diver. He was actively engaged with his children, whether camping or encouraging their education, or other activities. He was a more than capable orator. He continually established the expectation that the world is to be a significantly better place because of each individual’s presence and actions. Even as a forever tinkerer and fixit man. There was nothing that could not be repaired.
