Scott Taylor went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2005 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born August 30, 1967 in Murray, Utah to Larry B. and Kathy Hawkins Taylor. He married the love of his life, Nikki (Jill) Carlson, on December 6, 1986 in Sandy, Utah.

Scott graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1986. He was on the wrestling team for three years and in his senior year took 4th place in the state. He graduated from Montana State University with honors in 2000. Scott was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 14 years. In 2003, he served as Deployment Officer in Operation Enduring Freedom and received numerous awards. He loved hunting, water skiing, and snowboarding with his family. Scott lived a happy and fulfilling life, always finding the best in everyone.

Survived by his wife, Nikki; son, Bryce; son, Nick; daughter, Brook; parents Larry and Kathy; sister, Marci (David) Whitney; brother, Zach; sister, Robyn; sister, Shanna (Shane) Adams; brother, Jace; sister Rachel; mother-in-law, Colleen Tavakoli; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leif and Dawn Carlson; grandmother, Ethel Hawkins; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to thank all those who helped financially with their trip to Hawaii and thanks to all his Hill Field Buddies.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the God’s Place Church, 3717 Grant Avenue, Ogden Utah. Friends may call Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray, Utah and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be at the Malad City Cemetery, Malad, Idaho at 3:30 p.m.
