Funeral Rites For Mrs. Sarah Reynolds

Impressive funeral services for Mrs. D. J. Reynolds were held on Sunday afternoon at the Malad stake tabernacle with Bishop Guy Servoss of the Malad Second ward presiding. Speakers were R. N. Hill; Mrs. J*ssee H. Dredge, representing the Malad Relief society and D. P. Woodland of Logan. Invocation was by Wm. Kingston and benediction by Moses Christensen. Musical numbers were furnished by the St. John quartet, the Singing Mothers directed by Mrs. S. A. Hendricks, and Mrs. Margaret E. Jones.

Interment was in the Malad cemetery with J. Edward Gib* dedicating the grave. Pall bearers were, Jack Elcock, Perry Jone, Wm. L. Jones, Chester Bolingbroke, Henry Lewis and Milt Evans.

Sarah Lusk Reynolds was born in Malad on April 7, 1869, the daughter of John W. and Est*er Park Lusk. She attended the schools of Malad and married David J. Reynolds on December 15, 1886 in the Logan temple. They became the parents of three children, John, David and Katherine the latter being the only surviving.

Mrs. Reynolds has always been active in church work. She was president of the Primary association when there was only one ward in Malad, holding this office for 14 years. She was made a member of the Relief society stake board in 1917 and later became president of the Primary stake board, remaining in this capacity for 10 years. She also served as ward teacher in the Relief society for a number of years.

Mrs. Reynolds was injured in an automobile accident in 1936 and was in poor health from th** time. She left Malad in October of 1936 to make her home in Los Angeles and San Pedro, California with her daughter Mrs. Scott Ta*lor. She died at a Los Angeles hospital on Jan. 3,[1940] of pneumonia. She was brought to Malad on Saturday and taken to the home of Dr. * L. Davis prior to the services.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Scott Taylor and one grandson George R. Taylor, four sisters, M. Wm. E. Jones, Mrs. J. V. Williams, Mrs. Wm. Jenkins, Mrs. E* Jenkins, all of *. * brothers, Wm. J. Lusk of ***, Alma Lusk of Sugar City, and Perry Lusk of American Falls.

A large audience was present ** pay last respects to this well ***eed woman including the following from out of town.
