Sarah Emma Jensen, 14 October 1913

NORTH OGDEN – Sarah Emma Jensen, 82, died June 5, 1996 at a local care center of causes incident to age. She was born October 14, 1913 in Malad, ID, a daughter of Charles and Emma Jones Fredrickson.

She married Delbert H. Jensen in December, 1938 in Preston, ID. He died on August 21, 1959.

She was raised and educated in Idaho. She was a member of the LDS Church where she was active in Relief Society.

Mrs. Jensen had been a beautician and also worked for the Ogden City School lunch program. She enjoyed painting, knitting and yard work. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Delbert (Sherry) Jensen, Ogden; Fred (Laura) Jensen, Brigham City; Ollie-Jean (Richard) Smitherum, Boise, ID; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Edna Bolingbrook, Mosocw, ID.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, Shelly Hipwell, and one great grandson, Skylor Orrich.

Funeral services will be held Monday at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary with Bishop Paul Braithwaite of the Brigham City 1st Ward officiating. Interment will be in Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.
