SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. SARAH TAPPER

Mrs. Sarah D. Jones Tapper, 75, of Malad, died February 21, 1976 in the Oneida County Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Tapper was born Sept. 5, 1900 in Malad, a daughter of Jedd and Sarah Ann Daniels Jones.

She was married to Lyle G. Tapper, Sr. on Dec. 20, 1924 in Moscow, Idaho.

She was a graduate of the University of Idaho and was a graduate member of Alpha Chi Omega at the university.

Mrs. Tapper was a member of the LDS Church, American Legion Auxiliary, War Mothers, Eagles Auxiliary, Nezia Club, Olivia Club and Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are her husband of Malad; one son and one daughter, Lyle Gilbert Tapper, Jr. of Montpelier; and Mrs. Ren (Sally) Thomson of Malad; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence D. Jones of Malad.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel.

The Reverend S. Norman Naugler, who officiated, offered the family prayer, gave the call to worship, invocation, scripture reading, meditation and benediction. Prelude and postlude music was played by Myra Jean John with other musical numbers being a vocal duet by Helen Jones and Wanda Edwards and a vocal solo by Max Haddock. Obituary was given by W. Griff Jenkins.

Committal service was at the Malad City Cemetery. Flowers were carried by members of the Eastern Star, Nezia and Olivia Clubs.

Monday evening, the Order of Eastern Star conducted a ritualistic service at the Benson Funeral Home.

Honorary bearers were Eric Thomson, Jeffrey Jones and David J. Jones with casket bearers being Ted Tapper, Todd Tapper, Marc Thomson, Craig Thomson, Paul Eck and Jeffrey Wade.
