SARAH ARCHIBALD BUSH PERKINS PINCOCK

Sarah Pincock (Sarah Archibald Bush Perkins Pincock) passed away on January 20, 2005, at her home in Malad after a long fight with cancer.

She was born on February 9, 1924, in Ridgedale (Pocatello Valley), Idaho, to Albert and Nancy Archibald. She was raised in Pocatello Valley and Malad, and graduated from Malad High School.

She married George Davis Bush on August 2, 1941, and that marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah Temple, on July 17, 1958.

She and her husband, George, worked in Washington and Oregon for the War Food Administration during World War II, and then returned to Malad, where she lived for the remainder of her life.

After the passing of her husband, George, in 1989, she married Daniel Perkins, who also passed away in 1998. She married Grant Pincock on April 30, 1999. Grant has remained her loving and loyal companion for the past five yeaers, and was by her side through her battle with cancer.

Sarah was a lifelong, active member of the LDS Church, and held many callings in her local ward and stake. Among others , she was Relief Society President and worked in the Young Women’s and Primary organizations. She worked for many years in the extraction program, which she loved very much. She was a skilled genealogical researcher who loved family history with her whole heart and soul.

Her yard and garden, both vegetable and flower, were admired by all. The harvest from these gardens was shared with neighbors and friends and family. What could not be shared was canned. She was very creative and decorated many beautiful cakes. Her work was known all over the valley, and she was always in great demand for birthdays and weddings.

Survivors include her husband, Grant Pincock; one son, Lloyd George Bush of Malad; one daughter, Margaret Bush Dzubak (Wayne) of Boise; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and four sister, Ruby Waldren, Pricilla Abbott, Katie Abbott and Leona Wakley.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Bush, her second husband, Daniel Perkins, on son, one daughter, three sisters, four brothers and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 24, 2005, in the Malad LDS Fourth Ward Chapel with Bishop Brian Jeppsen officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
