Richardson Funeral Set Tuesday

MALAD – Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Richardson, 89, will be conducted Tuesday noon in the Malad Third Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Jesse Hughes will officiate.

Mrs. Richardson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Griffin, Logan, Utah, Saturday night [December 9, 1951].

She was born April 9, 1861, at Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of John J. and Mary J. Williams. She came to Malad with her parents in 1867.

She married Josiah A. Richardson in the Salt Lake Temple, March 22, 1883. They moved to Dona, Ida., in 1886, returning to Malad in 1902. Mr. Richardson died in 1920.

Survivors are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Mary Griffin, Logan; Mrs. Ruth Bragger, Rigby, and John Josiah Richardson, Boise. Two grandchildren, whom she reared from infancy also survive; May Mulder Cottrell, Blackfoot, and Jack Mulder, Malad.

She had 15 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Victoria Davis, George J. Williams, and Oliver Williams, Malad, and Mrs. Annie Westergard, Idaho Falls.

Friends may call at her home Monday evening and Tuesday until time of services. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery under the direction of the Malad Funeral Home.
