Oscar Richardson Died Monday

Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Thursday) for Oscar G. Richardson, 55, who died December 31st [1946] at his home in Malad following a long illness. Interment will be in the Malad cemetery.

Mr. Richardson, the operator of a beauty and barber shop in Malad for many years, was born May 20, 1890 at Malad, the son of Josiah and Sara Ann Richardson.

He is survived by his wife, Ella May Richardson and son, Sherman Richardson of Pocatello.

Funeral Rites For Oscar Richardson

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 o’clock at the second ward Tabernacle for Oscar Richardson with Bishop W. W. Thomas presiding and Mrs. S. A. Hendricks playing the prelude and postlude. Prayer at the home was offered by Guy Gleed, the invocation by Josiah Price and the benediction Wm. H. Richards. The speakers were Leo Williams, J. M. Isaacson, Perry Harrison, Thos. W. Richards and Bishop Thomas. Musical numbers were rendered by Margaret E. Jones, Stillman Harris, Jenk Palmer, Helen Ossmen, Marteal Hendricks, and Mrs. Ren Harris and son, George of McCammon. Guy Benson dedicated the grove.
