Rosetta “Rosie” Peabody Pingel

PINGEL, ROSETTA PEABODY, September 23, 1914 – February 23, 2008

Rosetta “Rosie” Peabody Pingel, 94, passed away on February 23, 2008 in Malad. She was born September 23, 1914 in Malad, a daughter of Jacob and Martha L. Jones Peabody.

She was raised, educated and spent her early years in Malad, where she married Henry Benjamin Pingel. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1956. Following their marriage they lived several years in Blackfoot and later returned to Malad. Henry passed away June 16, 1988. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in various callings through the years.

Rosie enjoyed crocheting, art work and quilting. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Shirley) Pingel of Woodland, California, and Rodney Bud (Louise) Pingel of Sugar City, Idaho; eight grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held February 29 in the Horsley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
