Rose Pratt Harrison

HARRISON, ROSE PRATT, March 6, 1921 – April 25, 2006
CLINTON – Rose Pratt Harrison, age 85, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006. She was born March 6, 1921 in Stone, Idaho, a daughter of Harold Sheets and Lela Ann Anderson Pratt.

Rose married Wayne Earl Harrison on January 11, 1942 in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized January 30, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. Wayne passed away November 15, 1986.

Rose lived in Idaho until the age of ten, when her family moved to Ogden to stay during the school year, returning to ranch in Idaho throughout the summer months. They continued as the family’s yearly routine until the time that Rose graduated from Ogden High School. From that point on, Rose remained in Ogden.

Rose was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions within the Church. Her last position served was performing computer data entry for the Genealogy Extraction Program.

She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Commercial Security Bank.

Surviving are her children, Ronald W. (Marcia) Harrison, After, WY; Rebecca “Beckie” Jefferies, Brandon, MS; William H. (Karen) Woods, Clinton, UT; stepchildren, Dennis Harrison and Karen (Denny) Morris; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is her brother, Harold A. (Monette) Pratt of Syracuse, UT.

Rose ws preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Nancy Kendell and sister, Eva West.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside Saturday, April 29th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. A visitation for family and close friends will be held Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
