J1 Rosa Elizabeth W. John (1945)
Tremonton – Mrs. Rosa Elizabeth Ward John, 60, died at her home at ??????? Ward, a community near Tremonton, Sunday at 6:07 a.m. from an illness of three months duration.
She was born June 3, 1885 at Woodruff, Ida., a daughter of George and Eunice Alice Nicholas Ward. She was reared there and on Feb, 1901, she was married to Thomas J. John in the Logan Temple. They lived in Woodruff until 1938 when they moved to Tremonton. She had made her home at Evans’ Ward since 1934.
Active in the church, she had worked as a Sunday School teacher, in the Relief Society and Primary.
She is survived by her former husband who is now a resident of Logan, and the following sons and daughters, Gordon John, Mrs. Marie Nelson and Mrs. ??na Moyes of Brigham City, Clifford and Alfred John of Tremonton; Owen John of Grace, Ida., and
Cpl. LaVerd John who is with the Army Air Forces in the Southwest Pacific. 17 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Joseph W Ward, Mrs. Eunice a Harris, Jessie N. Ward, Owen D. Ward, Mrs. Pearl Thomas and Arthur N. Ward, all of Malad; Richard A. Ward of Pocatello.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Tremonton First Ward Chapel with Bishop Fred W Hansen of Evans Ward officiating. Friends may call at the family residence Tuesday night and Wednesday prior to services. Interment will take place in the Willard Cemetery under direction of the Harold B. Felt Funeral Home of Brigham.
