Mary Jane Jenkins Dead. (Sept 14, 1911)
The death of Mrs. Mary Jane Jenkins occurred at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben D. Evans, Tuesday night. The death was not reported in time to permit of getting any particulars or to learn what arrangements had been made for the funeral.

Mrs. Jenkins was a native of Malad and was a valued citizen. Since the death of her husband, David Jenkins, she has followed the profession of a trained nurse, for which occupation she was adopted by nature, and has done much to alleviate suffering in many homes throughout the valley.

Dropsy is given as the primary cause of death. (6 June 1984)
