ROBERT KELLY MAY

Robert Kelly May (Dan Kelly), passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2005, in his home after fighting with cancer and emphysema.

He was born on December 9, 1945, to Joseph Robert and Josephine P. Scott May in Ogden, Utah. He grew up and worked on the family farm in Malad. He went to work for the government after graduation from Malad in 1964. Later he worked in news and radio for 18 years in Utah and Idaho where he had the opportunity to meet many celebrities. He also worked for Thiokol, the IRS, and retired from Packard Bell NEC. He was interested in music, reading, books, motorcycles, and computers.

He is survived by the love of his life, Karen Harvath May; his mother, Josephine May, Malad; his nine children: Monica Baker, Richmond, Utah; Kelly Jr. May, Clarkston, Utah; Wendy Garvin, Dan Diego, California; Danton May, Wendover, Utah; Jody Rioux Layton, Utah; Casey Butcher, Ogden, Utah; Jessica May Anderson, Lindon, Washington; Amanda May, Brigham City, Utah; and Jacob May, Brigham City, Utah; three step-children: Eric Burgan, Rexburg; Jennifer Lyons, Middleton; and Jessica Riley, Middleton; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family would like to thank the IHC Hospice team for all their help and support.

Services were held Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the Horsley Funeral Home in Malad.

Services were under the direction of the Horsley funeral Home.
