MAY, LOLA JONES, January 14, 1929 – July 5, 2006

Lola Jones May, 77, our loving mother, wife, aunt, sister and friend passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2006 in Murray, Utah. She was born January 14, 1929 in Malad, Idaho to William Lusk Jones and Ann Lloyd John. She married Donald Leon May, also from Malad, on August 13, 1955.

Mom attended school in Malad, graduating valedictorian of her class. She also attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

She loved coming home to Malad to visit her family and friends. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by family. She loved genealogy and temple work and had found counsins in Wales which she was able to meet when they came to the states.

Mom never gave up the fight for rheumatoid arthritis. She suffered for almost 50 years. During all of the surgeries and struggles, mom always had a smile on her face and always wanted to know how you were doing. She struggled so much in her life.

She is survived by her husband, Donald L. May; daughter Cynthia Ann; and brother, Wesley B. Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Dail Jones, Leon John Jones; sister Cynthia May Jones.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 8 in Murray, Utah. A small viewing was held at the Horsley Funeral Home in Malad City. Interment was at Malad City Cemetery.
