Rex Randall Davis, 34, of Los Angeles and a former Malad resident, died Saturday (07 Mar 1953) in Los Angeles of a coronary occlusion.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Pleasant View ward chapel, with Bishop John Roderick officiating. Friends may call at the home of D. Jay Davis in Pleasant View Thursday afternoon and Friday until time of the services.

Interment will be in the Pleasant View cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis was born at Juniper, Idaho, July 21, 1918, a son of John Stuart and Alice Randall Davis. He was reared and educated in Oneida county where he attended the Malad high school. A member of the LDS church, Mr. Davis had lived in Los Angeles for the past six years where he was employed as an aircraft sheet metal worker. On February 21, 1953, he was married to Bessie Dent at Henderson, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, his father and the following brothers
and sisters: D. Jay Davis, Pleasant View; Rollin S. Davis, U. S.
Air Force; Ruth Lowry, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Elva Hill, Salt Lake
City; Mrs. Delma Davis, Malad.

Funeral Friday
For Rex Davis

Funeral services for Rex Davis, who died March 7 (1953) in Los Angeles, were conducted Friday afternoon at the Pleasant View LDS ward with Bishop John Roderick presiding.

Prelude and postlude music was played by Iris Barker. Prayer at the home was offered by Leo Brown; invocation, Merlin Bastian; benediction, Jonah M. Evans, and dedication of the grave was by John Blaisdell. The speakers were Ralph W. Harding, W. H. Rutter and J. M. Isaacson. Musical numbers consisted of a duet, Leora Brown and Ruel Ipsen; piano solo, Wayne Ward; solo, Helen E. Jones; selection, Joe, Moroni, Golden and George Ward, accmpanied (sp. accompanied) by Mrs. Emma S. Ward.

Those from out of town attending were his wife, Mrs. Bess Davis, and her sister, Mrs. Catherine Spear, and brother, John Dent, Henderson, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lowry and son, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hill, Salt Lake City; Roland Davis, a brother from the Air Force base at Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. C.
