REUBEN LEE ALLPHIN PRICE

NORTH OGDEN – Reuben Lee Allphin Price, 93, passed away January 5, 2005 from incidents of age. Reuben Lee Allphin Price was born in September 24, 1911 to George Franklin Price and Emma May Allphin Price in Tremonton, UT. Reuben Lee Allphin affectionately known as “Ott” to family and friends was the last surviving child in the family of ten brothers and one sister. Ott grew up in Tremonton, UT and on the family dry farm in Holbrook, Idaho as a boy. He developed a hard work ethic at a very early age, working on the family farms and others (SIC) jobs to help his family. Ott moved to Ogden, UT and began working at the animal by-products plant. He was offered a truck driving position and accepted. He later purchased his own trucks and started working hauling coal, post and poles for many years. In 1951 he began working for WR White Pipe and retired from there in 1987 after 34 years if employment. Ott remained involved in the trucking industry by founding O. L. Price Trucking, Inc.

He married Marvel Pearl Martin on May 31, 1930; they were later sealed in the Logan Temple. He was a member of the North Ogden 9th Ward and has served as a Young Men’s Leader, Sunday School Superintendent, Ward Financial Clerk and faithful home teacher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant daughter, a great-grandson, parents, ten brothers and one sister.

He is survived by Harold M. (Enid) Fife, Delbert Lee (Nelda) Price, James M. (Marva) Price, Judy (Willie) Valdez, Jean (Stewart) Clark, Jerry O. (Jill) Price, Joyce Price, Jay R. (Lorie) Price, 27 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the North Ogden 9th Ward Chapel, 205 East Elberta Drive, North Ogden, Utah with Bishop Dennis Farr officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, January 9, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. And on Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.

Interment Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden.
