Ralph D. Price, 62, dies here Sunday

Funeral service was held Wednesday for Ralph D. Price, 62, who died Sunday afternoon [March 2, 1980] at his home in Malad of an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Price was born July 30, 1917, at Malad, to Josiah and Beatrice Jones Price. He was reared and educated in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School in 1936. He married Hope Thomas Feb. 18, 1942, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Other than a short time in Montana where he worked on a ranch he had lived in Malad and for over 25 years was a paint contractor. In 1978 he began work as the custodian of the Malad LDS Second Ward and was employed there at the time of his death. He was a high priest in the LDS church and held various ward positions.

Survivors include his wife, Malad; four sons and one daughter, Ralph E. Price, Barrington, Ill.[Illinois]; Collin T. Price, West Jordan, Utah; Wynn Del Price, Logan, Utah; Darron T. Price, Malad; Mrs. David (Marteena) Luth, Salem, Ore. [Oregon]; five brothers and three sisters, Earl L. Price, Downey; L. Dale Price, Malad; Marion J. Price, Malad; Stan J. Price, Boise; Ronald J. Price, Malad; Mrs. Ross (Pearl) Kelly, Urbana, Ill.[Illinois]; Mrs. Carol Bake, Bountiful, Utah, and Mrs. George (Shirley) Fry, Ogden, Utah.

The Wednesday noon service was at the Malad LDS Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Wesley Crowther officiating.

Interment was at the Pleasantview Cemetery.

Benson-Horsley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon in the Malad LDS Second Ward chapel with Bishop Wesley Crowther officiating. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad Tuesday evening and Wednesday before services. Burial will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery.
