GILGEN, RAY U., (?) – February 2, 1944

Memorial services for Pfc. Ray U. Gilgen, Oneida County serviceman, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gilgen, live at Logan, Utah, will be held at the Malad Stake Tabernacle on Saturday.

He was fatally injured in an army truck accident in Egypt, February 2, 1944. He was a truck operator in the infantry and had been in Africa since May, 1943.

The program arranged is as follows: Presentation of colors; March of ex-servicemen; prelude, Marteal Hendricks; prayer, Joseph Gilgen; life sketch, H.L. Buehler, musical number by the Tovey brothers; address, Bishop Weber of Logan 10th Ward; vocal, Stillman Harris; remarks, U.S. Army representative from Logan; benediction, Junius Crowther; retirement of colors.
