Ralph Peck

BLACKFOOT – Ralph F. Peck, 84 Louella[sic], Blackfoot, died Tuesday evening, April 17, at Bingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1893, in Fort Hall, to Fredrick and Elizabeth Le* Peck. He attended school in Malad. He enlisted in the Army in Malad August 17, 1918, and honorably discharged as a private January 6, 1919, at Camp Lewis Washington.

He married Thelma Harwes[sic], and three children were born to this union. Following the death of his wife and one of the children, he and the other two children came to Blackfoot to live with his wife’s parents.

He married Dorothy Dahlstrom[sic]; she later died.

He worked at State Hospital South, for the Idaho Highway Department, at the Pocatello Air Base, and at the Naval Ordinance Plant in Pocatello until it closed in 1960. He was also maintenance supervisor at Milmor[sic] Hotel in Blackfoot.

He married Thelma Selcox[sic]. They both retired in 1962. He was a charter member of the Blackfoot Posse.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma, Blackfoot; a son, DeVere[sic] Peck, Blackfoot; three stepsons, Wayne Deveraux[sic], Red Bluff, California; Jay Deveraux[sic], Blackfoot; Dave Deveraux[sic], Idaho Falls; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Harold (Jane) Kirkpatrick, Soda Springs; Mrs. Lester (Joyce) Chezik[sic], Yumatilla[sic], Oregon; 38 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
