FORMER MALAD MAN DIES IN PLANE ACCIDENT

BOUNTIFUL — Roy V. Peck, 29, husband of Leone Smith Peck, former resident of Bountiful, Utah, and Malad, Idaho, was killed Sunday noon in an airplane crash at Gerberville, Cal., according to word received Wednesday by Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Smith, parents of Mrs. Peck.

Mr. and Mrs. Peck had been living in Eureka, Cal., the past month and in Stockton, Cal., in preceding months. Mr. Peck, an ex-army pilots, was training to fly for a plane transport firm. At the time of the crash he was alone in a small craft. Further details of the crash have not been received.

Mr. Peck, a son of Mrs. Edith Pearl Jones Peck of Ogden, was born Sept. 23, 1917, at Riverside, Box Elder county. He married Leone Smith, Dec. 25, 1943, at Stillwater, Okla.

He is survived by his widow, his mother and a daughter, Vicki, who has been living with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Smith, Bountiful; two sisters, Shirley Peck, Tooele and Rosalee Peck, San Francisco, Cal.; and a grandmother, Mrs. A. Peck, Fielding, Box Elder county.
