Rachel Ellis Howard,3 December 1904

OREM, UT – Rachel Ellis Howard, 97, was born December 3, 1904 in Byron, Big Horn, WY to colonizing pioneer parents, Rachel Ann Briggs and Stephen Hales Ellis, Jr.

She returned to the loving arms of her eternal companion, Owen Thomas Howard, February 10, 2002 while spending time with her daughter, Marie in Las Vegas, NV. They were married February 1, 1928 in the Logan Temple and were true sweethearts for 63 years. He died February 4, 1991 in St. George, UT.

(Survivors missing)…ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve Ellis, Provo; and two sisters, Merna Marchant, Burley, ID; and Clara Goats, Mission Viejo, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband; two children, Marjorie and Steven; three grandchildren; one great grandson; and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held February 16, 2002 in the Orem 6th Ward. Interment will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
