ROSE OLIVER HOWARD (died 10 March 1950)
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR FORMER MALAD RESIDENT
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Second Ward LDS chapel in Bountiful for Mrs. Rose Oliver Howard, 79, who died Friday afternoon at a Salt Lake City hospital of cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Howard, a daughter of Edward and Susan Lord Oliver was born January 13, 1871 at Bountiful, Utah. December 12, 1888, she was married to Wm. J. Howard at the Logan LDS temple. He died April 14, 1945. Mrs. Howard was a teacher in the LDS Relief society for 30 years and has also held offices in the Kimball camp of the Pioneer Daughters of Utah.
The Howards made their home in Malad for 10 years having left here for Utah 25 years ago.
Surviving are four sons, Donald J., Edward T., Bountiful; Wm. O., Malad, Idaho; Charles J., Salt Lake City; one foster son, Frank Solomon, Bountiful; four daughters, Mrs. Ella Smith, Mrs. Wilda Evans, Bountiful; Mrs. Lila H. Smith, Centerville and Mrs. Fern Pullan, Salt Lake City; also 25 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a half brother, James Burns, Bountiful, a half sister, Mrs. Jennie Ri?, Spokane.
