FORD, PHILLIP J., July 19, 1879 – June 21, 1963

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in Ogden at the Larkin Chapel of the Dawn for Phillip J. Ford, 92, who died Friday evening at the Weber Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Ford was born July 19, 1879 at Centerville, UT, a son of John W. and Elizabeth Garn Ford. He married Amanda Rollins September 14, 1899. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in 1936.

A rancher in the Malad area from 1911 – 1936, Mr. Ford was also active in civic and church affairs and for the past 16 years he had resided in Ogden. He was an active temple worker.

Survivors include a son, Merrill Ford, Boise; a daughter, Mrs. Sarah F. Watkins, Ogden; three grandchildren; sisters and a brother: Mrs. Mary Parrish, Centerville; Mrs. Esther Clark, Logan, and John F. Ford, Centerville.
