ORVILLE LAVERN “PAUL” MADSON

THE BEYOND MISS ME
It seemeth such a little way to me When I come to the end of the road,
Across to that strange country, The Beyond; And the sun has set for me,
And yet, not strange, for it has grown to be I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
The home of those of whom I am so fond. Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long,
And so for me there is no death; And not with your head bowed low.
It is but crossing, with abated breath, Oh! Remember the love that we shared.
A little strip of sea, Miss me, but let me go.
To find one’s loved ones waiting on the shore. For this is a journey we all must take,
More beautiful, more precious than before. And each must take it alone.
See?, it’s all a part of the Master’s plan,
A step in the road to home.
So when you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends that we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me but let me go.
