Parke Madson

Parke Madson, 28 April 1925

Parke Madson, 76, of Idaho Falls, died January 9, 2002 at his home of natural causes.

He was born April 28, 1925 at Malad, to John Madson and Ann Amelia Clark Madson. He grew up in Malad and attended schools in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Office Practice, then obtained his Master’s Degree from Indian University.

He served in the US Navy during World War II.

He was a Professor Economics for Western Wyoming Junior College in Rock Springs, WY for many years. He also taught accounting at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, and at Brigham Young University. He came to Idaho Falls seven years ago to be near his brother, Grant. He also maintained a home in Reliance, WY.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and continued study of Economics.

He is survived by two brothers and one sister: Jack Madson, Malad, ID; Grant Madson, Idaho Falls, ID; Amelia Garrick, Laguna Beach, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Earl, James, Rex, Orville and Orlin; two sisters, Hattie Knight and Elva Williams.

Funeral services were held January 14, 2002 at the Wood Chapel of the Pines. Burial was in Ammon Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
